STATEMENT OF FAITH
What We Believe
What We Believe
The biblical foundations that shape our message, our mission and the way we disciple the next generation.
The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is true, relevant and the final authority for faith, life and discipleship.
Scriptures:
2 Timothy 3:16–17 | Hebrews 4:12.
God
There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Scriptures:
Matthew 28:19 | 2 Corinthians 13:14.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is fully God and fully man.
He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again and will return.
Scriptures:
John 1:1,14, Colossians 2:9, | 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 | Acts 1:11.
Salvation
All people are separated from God by sin. We are forgiven and made new through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Scriptures:
Romans 3:23 | Ephesians 2:8–9 | 2 Corinthians 5:17.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit lives in every believer, leading, empowering and transforming us to live a Christ-centred life.
He produces spiritual fruit and equips believers with gifts for ministry.
Scriptures:
John 14:26 | Galatians 5:22–23 | 1 Corinthians 12:4–7.
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ. It exists to worship God, build believers and make disciples of all nations.
Scriptures:
Ephesians 1:22–23 | Acts 2:42 | Matthew 28:19–20.
Baptism and Communion
We believe in water baptism as a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, and in the regular sharing of communion as a remembrance of His sacrifice.
Scriptures:
Romans 6:4 | Matthew 28:19 | 1 Corinthians 11:23–26.
Discipleship
Every believer is called to follow Jesus and to help others do the same.
Discipleship is a lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ in everyday life.
Scriptures:
Luke 9:23 | Matthew 28:19–20 | 2 Timothy 2:2.
Identity in Christ
We believe that every believer has a new identity in Christ. Through salvation, we are made new, adopted into God’s family and called to live from this identity rather than striving to earn it.
Scriptures:
2 Corinthians 5:17 | Romans 8:15–16 | Galatians 2:20.
The Family
The home is God’s primary place for discipleship.
Parents and caregivers are called to model, teach and pass on faith to the next generation.
Scriptures:
Deuteronomy 6:6–7 | Proverbs 22:6 | Ephesians 6:4.
Generational Faith
God’s design is generational.
We believe faith is to be intentionally passed on so that each generation knows and walks with Him.
Scriptures:
Psalm 78:4–7 | Joel 1:3 | Malachi 4:6.
The Great Commission
We are called to share the gospel and make disciples in every nation, community and home.
Scriptures:
Matthew 28:18–20 | Mark 16:15.
Eternity
Every person will stand before God. This gives urgency to how we live and purpose to the mission we carry.
Scriptures:
Hebrews 9:27 | 2 Corinthians 5:10.
The Return of Christ
Jesus Christ will return again. This is our hope and the fulfilment of God’s plan.
Scriptures:
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 | Revelation 22:12.
